Abstract
Glass house experiments were conducted to study the effects of waste water irrigation and soil types on the growth and some metabolic contents of celery plant. The obtained data showed that the irrigation with sewage water increased some growth criteria in the plants of whatever soil types. Higher values of some growth characters in the plant of soil types and RWC were recorded of Iraq soil that irrigated with mixed water. Each successive increase in the amino acid, fatty acid, and glucosinolates compound were increased in the celery plant of loamy soil and irrigated with mixed water. The amino acids were increased in celery plants cultivated in loamy soil compared with that of Iraq soil depend on the type of irrigation water. Slight difference was observed in glucosinolates when compared by control, hence, some compounds were disappeared in celery plant that irrigated with sewage water in spite of the presence of nitrogen and sulphur compounds in sewage. We can conclude that tap water cations may counteract the inhibitor effect of sewage anions.

Key words: wastewater, growth, active constituents, Apium graveolens
